Hi, I'm Diego Perez, founder of Pragmateia. I'm based in Newport Beach, California, and I build custom AI automations for small businesses across the country.
I started in computer science and finished my degree in entrepreneurship. The combination matters. You're not paying me to learn what a P&L is on your dollar. You're also not paying someone with a business degree who can't actually ship the software.
That business background is also why projects move fast. Every AI build involves dozens of small judgment calls: what to escalate, how to phrase replies, which edge cases actually matter, what a customer would expect to happen next. A business degree plus US operating experience means I make those calls on your behalf the first time, instead of scheduling another meeting to ask. Less back and forth, faster builds, fewer rebuilds.
The work goes beyond automation too. Websites, custom apps, internal tools, pitch decks. If it's software your business needs and a generalist with a CS background can build it, I probably already have. The name Pragmateia (prag-ma-TAY-uh) comes from the Greek πραγματεία, meaning "practical matter" or "business / undertaking." That's what I build: pragmatic software for the operations side of a real business.

SNAPUP runs an Instagram-based consignment furniture marketplace. Buyers comment "snap"on a listing — and a human had to type out payment instructions to each one. Slow, error-prone, lost sales. Every additional post meant more manual checkout work the team didn't have time for.
An automation pipeline on top of n8n that listens for "snap"comments via Meta's Graph API, parses the post caption to pull item name and price, generates a single-use Stripe Checkout link, and sends it to the buyer as a private-reply DM — within seconds.
The checkout step that took minutes per buyer is now instant. The team can scale post volume without scaling headcount, and every transaction is logged automatically for reconciliation. No more dropped sales from buyers who didn't get a response in time.
